The European Union grants its citizens the right to stay and reside in Spain for more than three months. The services of Gestoria Palma request the certificate of registration as a citizen of the Union.
Broadly speaking, the applicant and the manager must be clear about the type of application to be submitted. Distinguishing if it is presented as an employee or self-employed. Requirements for the Union citizen registration certificate
Registration in the Central Registry of Foreigners is mandatory. It must be done within three months of entry into Spanish territory. As indispensable requirements there is the EX-18 application in official model, in addition to the identity document of the applicant.

Requirements for self-employed workers
In order to apply, the self-employed person must submit one of these documents:
- Registration in the Census of Economic Activities.
- Registration of your business in the Mercantile Registry.
- Registration document or similar for Social Security
- Consent for data verification at the General Treasury or Tax Agency.
Requirements for employees
If the applicant’s employment status qualifies him/her as an employee, he/she must provide the following information:
- Certificate of employment issued by the employer, indicating the fiscal data corresponding to the company and the contribution account code.
- Employment contract registered in the CONTRAT@ platform.
- Document of registration in the Social Security system.
- Consent for data verification at the General Treasury or Tax Agency.
Requirements if you do not work
In the case of persons who do not exercise any labor activity, either because they are pensioned, retired or for any other reason. It is required the presentation of:
- Certification of sufficient financial resources for the applicant and all dependents. In order to demonstrate their economic solvency during their residence in Spain.
- To have public or private health insurance, contracted within or outside the country, but with coverage throughout Spain equivalent to that provided by the national health system.
Requirements for students
In this case it will be necessary to state:
- Proof of enrollment in a recognized educational institution.
- To have public or private health insurance, contracted within or outside the country, but with coverage throughout the Spanish territory equivalent to that provided by the national health system.
- Responsible declaration of sufficient resources to cover the cost of their stay during the period of residence.
